I think; listening is the best learning activities because we can learn words' pronunciation correctly.We can learn a lot of different style of pronunciation.It's beneficial for us too much.I believe; students must be in a teamwork.It's better than studying on your own.If we be in a group, our team spirit will develop.

MY BEST STYLE OF LEARNİNG

My best style of learning is memorise some unknown words because word is the most significant for english.if we don't know vocabulary we don't write an essay or we don't read a paragraph and we don't speak anyone.So I think word is the most important of learning.Also I think group is very important for me because if we don't understand some topic we can discuss about this topic.

Best learning style i think with a group work because it's better to learn.You can ask questions your partner, when u don't understand.But sometimes i need study alone.I speak English, i practise in front of the mirror in my room or i memorize words alone.I can't memorize and i can't take care in a group.Due to, sometimes; work alone is better than group work.

I learn best with reading.Because ı can see how words writing and how is the grammer.I want learn with listening. Vocational classes with jobs guarantee canceled due to lack of interest

Carpentry and ceramic classes in the Black Sea province of Zonguldak that guaranteed a job on completion were canceled last Friday due to lack of interest.

According to the program, launched by the local employment ministry and Çanakçılar ceramic factory in the Gökçebey region as part of the World Bank-funded Privatization Social Support Project, each unskilled, unemployed person who attended the program would get YTL 17 per day to attend classes with a job guaranteed upon successful completion of the course.

The Zonguldak branch of the Labor Ministry sent invitations to 100 unemployed people who had applied to them asking them to show up Aug. 15 at the factory.

However, only six people who applied showed up for the carpentry course and four for the ceramics one. The 60-day courses required at least 10 students per course so the program was canceled.

The local employment director, Cemal Yiğit, said the organizers were very surprised by the lack of interest, noting that their efforts were aimed at providing professional training to unskilled and unemployed people, with each student getting YTL 1,045 at the end of the program. Those who completed the course would begin work at the factory, he said.

�This really upset us. The state launches the training program, gives them a salary and guarantees a job, but no one's interested,� he said.

He noted that a previous program, held in cooperation with the local chamber of tradesmen, had provided 40 students with jobs.

Eventually we finished our portfolio assignments. I am sure all of us are satisfied about ending portfolio. (me too) From the begining of the year up to now we always complained about preparing difficult portfolios, but we cannot deny that portfolios add many things to us. I think making a simple portfolio is easy not only for students but also for teachers. We could do it very simple as some other classes, but we wouldn't have learned English. If the way on which we are walking doesn't have any difficulties, it dosen't take us to anywhere. Now at the end of the portfolios I thank to Franziska for all her efforts for us.

Indifferent Attitude

You may ask yourself what this means. It means not to care or not to be interested in something. This is the general attitude among my students towards school, their grades or "promises" they make to their teachers. I shall be more specific: students on scholarships (meant to be especially promising students) fail because they don't do their work; others only do as much as needed to pass the class; others again ask teachers for extra time or postponement of portfolio meetings and then just don't do their assignment or just don't show up at the time agreed. Where is the motivation to achieve something great? Where is the ambition to get the most out of the year? And is there anybody how wants to make the difference? Students think they do good telling their teachers, "Sorry, can I hand in my work tomorrow?" and than still don't. There is nothing good with that. You do it or you don't - period. That's how I prefer it, without empty promises. The youth is meant to be the future of a country - that's what everybody knows. Be it!

Yesterday, a terrible event occurred around of Yalova. T.Y, who is the babysitter of little Pelin, went to depth of Gökçe Dere dam’s water with her darling’s car. Instead of caring Pelin at home, she took the little Pelin and met her darling. Then, her darling took both of them into the car and they had a trip around the dam. After that he stopped the car, and lovers started making subterfuge. Suddenly, the car’s hand break was touched accidentally by the sinner nanny. The car started to go into the depth of the dam. The miracle was occurred while car was sinking. The baby went out from the car’s window and a fisherman rescued her. But the lovers couldn’t survive. They will continue their subterfuge in the hell together!..

As you remember,we mentioned about a student who was disappeared mysteriously two weeks ago. Nowadays detectives have found some clues. All evidences point at a teacher who is working at Fatih Universty. You know that we have already written about that teacher. It was about some students who sued him because of his violent speech. Due to this reason detectives focused on Ismail Aydin. Last two weeks I.A. 's attitudes were so rude toward B.K. according to B.K. 's classmates, I.A. said" If someone kill you, the world will be saved from one shit! Bull! etc. " After these words B.K.'s dead body was found in a forest where I.A. 's wooden house is next to. As a result, according to information that was reported by unofficial sources we have some photos as you see. All evidences point at Ismail Aydin. What a strange is that he is lost last two days. how do I look? my friends.I and my friends did this snowman together in front of our dormitory :D but it's life didn't run as long as I thought.I left it and go into my room to dirink a cup of salep.I opened my room's window and I saw the dreatful event.Two naughty boy was breaking to pıeces my snow man.I holler them 'when I come there,I will break your leg and Iwill give them on your hands'and they said' catch us if you can' .Finally I killed themm :D I'm only kidding :) Ididn't do anything:D

In order to know and learn, one must read on any occasions and value the time given to him/her. I have just come across a very nice word and wanted to share it with YOU. (Perhaps you know it.) TACHIYOMI ( 立ち読み ), which means "reading while standing" in Japanese. You know "time flies" and "never comes back". The thing urging me to write this is some "statistics on reading times". Nations who read more are at places they deserve. So, I wish everybody good and effective readings... As for the third part of the people, I leave it to your imagination for the time being. My Own PIA

There is a person who is my favorite friend in the school. She has the most important value of my life. On the other hand sharing a friend with someone is very hard job.Today I realize that I am so jealous about her. I realize that I really like spending time with her. It was very hard to see her near a stranger man. It makes me so upset. However I realize the fact which is in my heart. She is the best ! She is the PIA* for me.

* Pia is a poetry's title which was written by famous poet, Attila İlhan. In the poetry Attila İlhan explained about a woman, who is in his imagination. So she is the best woman for him.

In addition with that person is my best woman,in fact she is my own PIA.

I agree with you gülşah'cım. Vocabulary was little bit difficult, but don't worry about it. I am sure we learn many new words, every day. Important thing is that. So, forget the achievment and entertain yourself. Have a nice weekend. See you on Monday!

It's Not Impossible

I gave up smoking. Last Tuesday's evening I decided to give up smoking. Then I go to a pharmacy and I bought a pack of nicotine gum. I haven't been smoking since Tuesday's evening. I'm happy now, and I'm realizing that smokers smell terrible.

I am bored about prep school anymore. Also I Don't want come to school. Sometimes that's so absurd. I don't learn anything anymore, also I don't make an effort. I don't have pleasure. I don't want doing my homeworks especially portfolios. offff!! Actually all of them absurd, all of!! After I got sick, I didn't be consantrate, it still goes on. All of things that we doing in class are the same. Only IBT lessons different a bit. Because İsmail teacher come to class. He is not only teacher, he is a friend, so he isn't teach only the lectures he teaches the life! and in any case this is the important one. Sometimes he makes jokes and according to me many of these jokes are so intelligent, of course if you understand. Actually we can learn English at home, if we want. We can learn essay writing steps on the internet or some words we can learn at dictionary. pufffhhh!!! Prep school is boring anymore...

Extra Time and Excuses

The other day I felt abused by my students. Generally I am a generous and goodhearted person, who wants to make people around me feel comfortable and happy. If I can help my students, I try to do my best. Some students, however, and always the same ones, regularly ask for extra time to submit their portfolio work. Once it happened, that I agreed to meet a student on Friday, but that student just did not come. Moreover, I have been asked for extra time on the very day and hour of portfolio time. I find such behavior rather disrespectful. Trying to analyze such behavior I came up with two conclusions: first, some people have not jet learnt to manage their time; second, their indifference whether to fail or pass school is overwhelming. From now on, I expect everybody to tell me by Monday about any problems related to PF submission. Requests for extra time after Monday will be declined. Nobody can foresee health problems - to get sick happens to everybody. I will understand. Provide me with a homework excuse note (or a note from the doctor), if this is the case. I do not want to hurt any body's feelings, but I can not let my feelings to be hurt by students. Thanks for your understanding.
